A major project in the port of Vlissingen
We recently commissioned a mobile ECO-Hopper for Verbrugge Terminals in Vlissingen.
In October, we already gave you a glimpse of the technical compartment; now the full installation is complete. It has been delivered and is ready for the efficient, low-dust handling of large volumes of bulk materials.
With this installation, we have delivered a truly large-scale system in Vlissingen: robust, well-engineered, and built to meet the demanding requirements of a port environment.
A few technical highlights of this ECO-Hopper:
Receiving hopper: capacity of approximately 125 m³ with an opening of approximately 9,000 x 9,000 mm, equipped with PU lining and air cannons to facilitate the handling of sticky materials.
Overall dimensions: 20 m high, 24 m long, 12 m wide, with an empty weight of over 220 tonnes.
Discharge conveyor: total length of approximately 12,000 mm, 1,400 mm belt width, driven by a drum motor and fitted with an integrated weighing system.
Dust control: equipped with a wind shield, flip-flap grid, loading spout, and a filtration system with 9 filter units. Residual dust is returned to the hopper via an airlock and two screw conveyors.
Self-propelled: the complete installation is hydraulically driven and can be manoeuvred by remote control using four different travel modes, allowing easy positioning even in confined spaces despite its size.
Stability & safety: fitted with hydraulic stabilizers, automatic levelling, tilt monitoring, and a spacious, comfortable operator cabin with direct visibility of the loading spout.
In every respect, this is a large-scale installation: in terms of capacity, dust suppression, maintainability, and operational flexibility.
This is the second ECO-Hopper we have designed and built, and we are proud of this achievement.
